Green Ivory

Green Ivory are an NGO based in Cote D’Ivoire, who recognise the essential role that the next generation will play in changing the fate of the country’s remaining forests.

Cote d’Ivoire has one of the fastest deforestation rates in the world, losing over 14 million hectares to logging and agriculture since 1960. With the arrival of climate change, it’s become even more essential to save the remaining 2 million hectares, and the rich biodiversity they support. This remarkable organisation knows that the closer we get to nature, the more inclined we are to protect it. Together, Evoca, Naza and Green Ivory developed the first ever nature camp, which immersed fifty young adults in the forest and taught them about the wonders of the biosphere. We look forward to growing their sustainable initiative further in the future.
