Evoca Foundation is an independent organisation working across education, planetary health and supporting women and girls. The Foundation finds and funds innovative grassroots movements delivering holistic solutions to some of the planet’s biggest problems.

Founded by Naza in 2018, the Foundation has since worked with more than 15 grassroots organisations across three continents.

In the last year alone, Evoca’s partnerships have supported over 200,000 people worldwide, breaking down systemic barriers to uterine healthcare in West Africa, addressing poverty and food insecurity in Guatemala through Indigenous knowledge, and training female entrepreneurs in Uganda to create sustainable solutions to challenges in their communities.

Evoca is founded on the principle that effective approaches come from communities with lived experience of the challenge at hand. Ideas start small; Evoca exists to help them grow from the ground up. The Foundation’s areas of focus are interwoven because the best responses resonate on more than one level, and through its network Evoca forges connections between unique local ideas and powerful leaders. Not all voices for change are easily heard - the Foundation’s role is to amplify frontline voices, and to provide the resources that help translate an abundance of local creativity into action and impact.

Evoca Pictures

Shortly after the Foundation’s genesis, Naza launched Evoca Pictures in 2021 to provide advocates with the resources to amplify unheard voices and drive impact through storytelling. A nimble team of creatives have coalesced around the vision with a view to mobilising fresh perspectives: their work is sparking meaningful action and bringing the world’s challenges into emotional and tangible focus.

The short-films, documentaries, animations and artworks launched over the last five years have, among many other themes, called for urgent action to address child marriage, close the gender digital divide, and have celebrated awe-inspiring marine conservation efforts.
