Evoca Foundation
Evoca Foundation was established in 2018 to support grassroots initiatives advancing gender equity, education and planetary health.
Under Naza’s leadership, Evoca has supported projects from expanding access to education in Afghanistan to assisting survivors of gender-based violence in Nigeria and genocide in Rwanda. In 2021, Naza launched Evoca Pictures to provide advocates with the resources to amplify unheard voices and drive visible impact through creative storytelling.
Evoca Foundation is an independent organisation working across education, planetary health and supporting women and girls. The Foundation finds, funds and supports innovative grassroots movements delivering holistic solutions to some of the planet’s biggest problems.
Qatar Economic Forum
Naza played a central role in creating and developing the Qatar Economic Forum with the State of Qatar and Bloomberg Media.
Now in its sixth year, the Forum is built around the macroeconomics, geopolitics and capital markets that inform economic development, regionally and globally.
The Qatar Economic Forum, powered by Bloomberg, is the Middle East’s leading news-driven event dedicated to global business and investment. Now in its sixth year, the Forum convenes global leaders to provide new and unique perspectives on the issues driving boardroom conversations.
Strategic Advisory
As an advisor to leaders and investors, Naza’s work also spans global initiatives including UNICEF’s education programmes and GIGA, the effort to connect every young person to the internet by 2030.
Naza Alakija is a strategic advisor who helps decision-makers, institutions and investors think clearly and turn strategy into results. She works at the intersection of capital, government and impact, functioning as a point of contact across sectors that don’t always speak the same language.
Background
Born in Tehran and raised in the United Kingdom, Naza holds a Master’s in International Relations from Queen Mary University of London. She is currently a Gender Equality Philanthropy Fellow at the LSE Marshall Institute, and speaks fluent English, Farsi and Portuguese.
