‘RISE’ بپاخیز captures the #WomanLifeFreedom movement through the story of a teenage girl who resists the patriarchal ‘morality police’. Presented by Evoca Pictures and Executive Produced by Naza Alakija, Rise pays tribute to the movement, celebrating and honouring the fierce women of Iran along with women and girls across the globe.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Naza launched SAGE Emergencies, so she could urgently partner with international organisations to provide food, soap and education to help refugees, IDPs and other vulnerable communities in the Middle East and Africa.

Naza believes girls should be free to live their potential, and one such reason is to help us solve the raft of complex social and environmental issues our world is facing.

August 2022 marked a year since the world watched helplessly as the Afghanistan government collapsed, and Kabul fell.

Green Ivory are an NGO based in Cote D’Ivoire, who recognise the essential role that the next generation will play in changing the fate of the country’s remaining forests.

In 2021 Naza visited Burundi with UNICEF, one of the African nations most affected by climate change, despite contributing very little to rising C02 emissions.

Naza is a key supporter of Charmaghz Mobile Libraries, a Kabul-based non-profit organization which turns old public buses into mobile libraries.

Yerwa Government Girls Secondary School in Nigeria is a boarding school for displaced children, and for many of whom, the school environment is their only source of psychosocial support.

In March 2020, Naza visited women and children in Afghanistan with UNICEF, to hear their stories and learn first-hand of their resilience.

Naza is a supporter of and Advisor to Giga, a UNICEF initiative in partnership with ITU.
